Food Program Coordinator
The Food Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the delivery of food
assistance services to individuals and families facing food insecurity.
This role involves the initial evaluation of client needs, managing food
distribution programs, and providing direct support to clients through food education
and nutrition programs. Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for supervising
program staff, ensuring that team members are effectively helping clients
to access food
resources, and addressing any operational challenges to ensure the program runs smoothly.
Management Responsibilities
- Monitor and coordinate program staff attendance and schedules
to align with client needs and program goals.
- Oversee educational nutrition classes/groups and the operations of the food
distribution area
- Ensure that all clients receive appropriate guidance and support through the food
program, including participation in educational sessions
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in food storage and distribution
areas by conducting regular checks.
- Foster collaborative relationships with local non-profits, food suppliers,
and community organizations to enhance the
resources available to clients
- Review and ensure the accuracy of data in client management systems regarding
food program services
Minimum Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field
- At least two years of experience in food service management, community outreach, or a similar role
- Experience working with underserved or vulnerable populations
- Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable.

The Community Outreach Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing
outreach strategies to increase community awareness and participation in the food
assistance program. This role involves direct engagement with the community, building
partnerships with local organizations, and coordinating events that
promote food security and nutrition education.
Management Responsibilities
- Develop and execute outreach plans to raise awareness of
the food assistance program among the local population
and potential partner organizations.
- Organize and coordinate community events such as food fairs,
nutrition workshops, and informational
sessions to educate the community about
the services provided and how to access them.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses,
schools, churches, and other community
groups to foster partnerships and support for the program
- Assist in the development of marketing materials and social media content
to promote program events and successes
- Collect and analyze feedback from the community and participants to improve

The Volunteer Coordinator is vital in managing and enhancing the volunteer
workforce of our Food Assistance Program. This role focuses on recruiting, training,
and retaining dedicated volunteers who are essential to the program's success
in feeding the underprivileged in our community
Management Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for volunteer recruitment that
target community groups, local businesses, schools, and online platforms
- Organize and lead orientation and training sessions for new volunteers
to ensure they are well-prepared for their roles.
- Schedule and coordinate volunteer work shifts to ensure adequate staffing for all program
activities, including food distributions, fundraising events, and administrative tasks
- Maintain regular communication with volunteers to foster a positive and engaging work environment,
including sending updates, gathering feedback, and addressing concerns
- Create and update volunteer policies and procedures manuals
Minimum Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human
Resources, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
